Job Description:

Role & responsibilities:

- Lead and mentor Engineering Managers, Technical Leads and Software Engineers across multiple teams.

- Define and execute the technology roadmap for Merchant Operations in alignment with business objectives.

- Drive the design, development and scalability of merchant-facing and operations platforms.

- Build systems supporting merchant onboarding, account management, inventory operations, workflow management and operational automation.

- Ensure delivery of high-quality, reliable, secure and scalable software solutions.

- Establish engineering best practices, coding standards and operational excellence processes.

- Partner with Product, Operations, Analytics and Business teams to identify opportunities for process optimization and automation.

- Drive architecture reviews and technical decision-making across platforms and services.

- Manage engineering planning, resource allocation, project prioritization and delivery commitments.

- Monitor platform performance, reliability and operational metrics while driving continuous improvements.

- Recruit, develop, and retain top engineering talent.

- Foster a culture of ownership, collaboration, innovation and continuous learning

Preferred candidate profile:

- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related discipline.

- 10+ years of software engineering experience with at least 4+ years in engineering leadership roles.

- Proven experience managing multiple engineering teams and large-scale technology programs.

- Strong experience in distributed systems, microservices architecture, cloud technologies and modern software development practices.

- Experience building operational, marketplace, supply-side, merchant management or platform products.

- Strong stakeholder management and cross-functional leadership capabilities.

- Excellent problem-solving, communication and organizational skills.
