OTM Application Engineer

Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced OTM (Oracle Transportation Management) Application Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be a technical and functional expert in OTM, responsible for the design, development, and implementation of robust OTM solutions. This role requires a deep understanding of the OTM platform to translate complex business requirements into scalable and efficient technical configurations and customizations.

Key Responsibilities

Solution Design & Development :

- Translate business requirements into OTM build activities, including detailed technical and functional design.

- Lead the design and development of OTM solutions for business process automation.

- Design, code, and configure complex workflow agents and other technical configurations.

- Develop and implement technical integrations using OTM's REST and SOAP APIs.

- Design and develop both operational and analytical reports.

OTM Platform Expertise :

- Possess in-depth knowledge of the OTM data model and schema.

- Perform performance tuning, troubleshooting, and configuration to optimize OTM functionality.

- Lead data and configuration migrations, including moving data from public cloud to on-premise environments.

- Design and implement complex SQL queries for data manipulation and analysis.

- Implement VPD (Virtual Private Domain) and other security configurations.

Functional & Stakeholder Collaboration :

- Work directly with business stakeholders to gather and refine OTM requirements.

- Collaborate with carrier, 3PL, and other third-party technical teams for new integrations.

- Provide technical expertise on key OTM functional areas such as master data, order planning, shipment execution, route optimization, track and trace, exceptions management, and Freight Audit and Pay.

- Develop multi-leg, multi-stop solutions and manage configurations for various modes (LTL, FTL, Ocean, Air).

Deployment & Documentation :

- Handle code deployment and migration activities between stage and production environments.

- Create comprehensive technical documentation for all designs, configurations, and developments.

Required Skills & Qualifications :

- 10+ years of extensive experience in OTM workflow agent design, coding, technical configuration, and development.

- Demonstrated experience with OTM's REST and SOAP APIs.

- Deep knowledge of the OTM data model and database schema.

- Strong proficiency in SQL for query design and implementation.

- Expertise in OTM's core functional modules, including order management, shipment planning, freight rating, and execution.

- Experience with deployment and migration best practices.

- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
