ORBCOMM - Quality Assurance Engineer - Mobile App Testing

Key Responsibilities :

- Develop comprehensive test strategies, detailed test plans, and robust test cases specifically for mobile applications (iOS, Android, and potentially cross-platform frameworks).

- Execute thorough manual testing and contribute to the design, development, and execution of automated test scripts for mobile applications.

- Identify, record, document thoroughly, and track bugs with precision, working closely with development teams for timely resolution.

- Conduct testing focused on mobile-specific aspects like performance, battery consumption, network conditions, and overall usability.

- Ensure extensive test coverage across various mobile devices, operating systems, and versions.

- Liaise effectively with product managers, developers, and other QA team members to understand requirements, provide timely feedback, and align on quality goals.

- Continuously analyze and improve mobile QA processes and methodologies to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.

- Track key QA metrics specific to mobile testing and provide clear status reports to stakeholders.

Required Skills & Qualifications :

- 5+ years of professional experience in Quality Assurance, with a strong focus on mobile application testing.

- In-depth knowledge of mobile testing methodologies, tools, and best practices.

- Experience with manual and automation testing for iOS and Android platforms.

- Familiarity with mobile automation frameworks (e.g., Appium, Espresso, XCUITest) is a significant plus.

- Strong understanding of mobile-specific challenges (e.g., gestures, notifications, push, device fragmentation, network conditions).

- Excellent analytical skills and meticulous attention to detail.

- Strong problem-solving abilities.

- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective collaboration.

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field is preferred
