Oracle Utilites MDM Consultant - Solution Design & Implementation

Job Summary :

We are looking for a highly skilled Oracle Utilities MDM (Meter Data Management) Consultant with at least 3 years of experience, including 2+ end-to-end implementations in the Power, Water, or Gas domains.

The ideal candidate will bring strong techno-functional expertise, including a deep understanding of MDM components, the Oracle Utilities Application Framework (OUAF), and Java development.

You will play a critical role in requirement analysis, solution design, development, and integration with surrounding systems like HES and CC&B.

Key Responsibilities :

Implementation & Solution Design :

- Collaborate with clients and internal teams to gather, analyze, and document requirements.

- Create External Design Documents (EDD) and develop conceptual solutions based on business requirements.

- Participate in solution architecture reviews, ensuring alignment with functional and technical needs.

Techno-Functional Development :

- VEE Rules

- Device Management

- Usage Management

- Device Events & Communication

- Measuring Components

- Usage Subscriptions, IMD, TOU, and related XML formats.

- Hands-on customization and development using OUAF and Java.

- Develop custom programs, interface enhancements, and web services for system integration.

- Perform batch configuration and troubleshooting.

- Integrate MDM with systems like HES, CC&B, and other external solutions.

Testing & Documentation :

- Ensure code quality, maintainability, and compliance with coding standards and version control.

- Support performance optimization by identifying and resolving design or coding issues.

- Prepare and maintain technical documentation for deployments, maintenance, and releases.

Support & Collaboration :

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including functional consultants, infrastructure teams, and client stakeholders.

- Mentor and assist other team members as needed.

Required Skills & Qualifications :

- Minimum 2 end-to-end MDM implementations.

- Strong domain knowledge in Power, Water, or Gas utilities.

Deep understanding of :

- VEE rules

- Device Management

- Measuring Components

- IMD / TOU / Usage Subscriptions

- Device Events / Communication

- Proficient in Oracle Utilities Application Framework (OUAF) and Java development.

- Experience with Web Services, batch processing, and system integrations.

- Ability to write high-quality custom code and interface programs.

- Strong skills in debugging, troubleshooting, and optimizing performance.

- Knowledge of version control, coding standards, and release processes.

- Excellent communication and client interaction skills
