Oracle Retail Consultant - RMS Module

We are looking for a seasoned Oracle Retail Consultant to join our team and support enterprise-level implementations and operations for a global end-client. This is a long-term remote opportunity for professionals with a deep understanding of Oracle RMS/Retek, SQL/PLSQL development, and application debugging, especially within Oracle Forms and Reports.

As part of the Oracle Retail team, you will play a critical role in maintaining, troubleshooting, and optimizing retail system functionalities that support mission-critical business processes.

Key Responsibilities :

- Provide technical support, maintenance, and enhancement for Oracle RMS/Retek modules and related Oracle Retail applications.

- Write, optimize, and debug complex SQL and PL/SQL scripts to fulfill business logic, reporting, and data migration requirements.

- Perform application debugging and resolve issues in Oracle Forms and Reports, ensuring stability and usability.

- Collaborate with functional/business teams to analyze and troubleshoot system issues across modules and suggest solutions.

- Monitor system performance, identify bottlenecks, and implement performance tuning techniques.

- Participate in incident management, problem resolution, and change request implementations.

- Contribute to solution design and recommend process improvements for enhanced system efficiency.

- Ensure documentation of custom developments, queries, and fixes as per established standards.

- Work closely with cross-functional teams including support, testing, and infrastructure for seamless service delivery.

Required Skills & Experience :

- Strong hands-on experience with Oracle RMS / Retek mandatory.

- Expertise in Oracle SQL and PL/SQL, with the ability to write and optimize complex queries.

- Proficiency in debugging Oracle Forms and Reports.

- Solid understanding of Oracle Retail data structures and business flows.

- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and debugging skills.

- Effective communication and collaboration skills for working with remote teams and clients.

Nice-to-Have Skills :

- Exposure to WINS/WMS.

- Working knowledge of Unix/Linux environments.

- Familiarity with other Oracle Retail modules is a plus.

- Experience in retail domain processes like item lifecycle, pricing, inventory, and vendor management.
