Job Description : Oracle EPM Consultant (Techno-Functional)

Position Overview :

We are seeking an experienced Oracle EPM Consultant with strong techno-functional expertise to design, implement, and support enterprise-level planning and forecasting solutions. In this role, you will act as a bridge between finance processes and technical solutions, leveraging Oracles on-premise Hyperion suite and modern cloud platforms. The ideal candidate will have extensive hands-on experience configuring Oracle EPM applications and managing complex data migrations and integrations across enterprise systems.

Key Responsibilities :

1. Solution Design & Implementation :

- Architect, configure, and deploy end-to-end solutions in EPBCS, PBCS, and Hyperion Planning to support corporate budgeting, forecasting, and financial modeling.

2. Techno-Functional Consulting :

- Translate complex business/financial requirements into technical specifications, including the design of dimensions, forms, task lists, and security configurations.

3. Business Logic & Rules :

- Write and optimize complex Essbase calculation scripts, business rules, and Groovy rules to support advanced allocations and driver-based planning.

4. Data Integration :

- Design, build, and maintain robust automated data pipelines using Oracle Data Integrator (ODI) and FDMEE / Cloud Data Management to move data seamlessly between ERPs and EPM apps.

5. Cloud Infrastructure Support :

- Support cloud-based EPM environments, managing system administration, patch validation, and environment refreshes.

6. Stakeholder Collaboration :

- Partner with finance teams, business analysts, and IT leads to deliver enhancements, resolve systemic bugs, and conduct user acceptance testing (UAT).

Required Skills & Qualifications :

1. Technical & Functional Core :

- Oracle EPM Applications : Strong techno-functional mastery of EPBCS (Enterprise Planning and Budgeting Cloud Service), PBCS (Planning and Budgeting Cloud Service), or on-premise Hyperion Planning.

- Data Integration Tools : Deep, hands-on knowledge of FDMEE and Oracle Data Integrator (ODI) for mapping, loading, and transforming metadata and financial data.

- Essbase Proficiency : Excellent understanding of Hyperion Essbase, including Block Storage (BSO) and Aggregate Storage (ASO) cube design, MaxL scripting, and calculation rules.

- Cloud Platform Focus : Demonstrated experience working within Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) or general SaaS/PaaS EPM landscapes is highly preferred.

2. Professional Experience :

- Experience : 4-8 years of professional experience implementing or managing Oracle EPM/Hyperion environments.

- Domain Knowledge : Strong foundational understanding of financial processes, including financial statement consolidation, P&L reporting, budgeting, and variance analysis.

- Problem Solving : Ability to debug data mismatch issues between source systems (like Oracle ERP, SAP) and target EPM applications.

Preferred Attributes :

- Oracle EPM Cloud certifications (e.g., Oracle Project Portfolio Management Cloud Certified Implementation Specialist).

- Experience writing custom Groovy scripts for cloud application optimization.

- Excellent communication and presentation skills, capable of explaining technical logic to senior finance executives.
