Role : Oracle EBS R12 Costing Module Specialist.

Key Requirements :

- 8 to 10 years of experience in Oracle E-Business Suite R12 Costing.

- In-depth knowledge of Standard Costing, Lot Costing, and PMAC.

- Hands-on experience in OPM Costing and full month-end closing cycle.

- Understanding of OPM ADRs and reconciliation processes.

- Ability to troubleshoot and resolve month-end costing issues with business stakeholders.

- Proven track record of optimizing costing processes within Oracle EBS R12.

Technical Skills for Oracle EBS R12 Costing Specialist :

Core Oracle EBS R12 Costing Expertise :

- Module Depth : Expert-level functional and technical knowledge of the CST (Cost Management) module in R12.

- Costing Methods : Deep, hands-on understanding and configuration experience with :

1. Standard Costing setup and maintenance.

2. Periodic Average Costing (PMAC) and its impact on inventory valuation.

3. Lot Costing / Serial Costing methods (where applicable).

- Subledger Accounting (SLA) : Proficiency in SLA setup and configuration as it relates to defining accounting rules for Cost Management and OPM transactions.

- Cost Rollup : Expertise in executing, monitoring, and troubleshooting Cost Rollup processes (BOM Cost Rollup).

- Period Close : Hands-on experience executing the technical steps required for the Cost Management Month-End Closing cycle.

Oracle Process Manufacturing (OPM) Costing & Data :

- OPM Costing (GMF) : Specific configuration and functional knowledge of OPM Costing components and differences from discrete costing.

- OPM ADRs : Technical understanding of OPM Actual Daily Rates (ADRs) and their calculation logic.

- OPM Inventory : Understanding of process inventory, lots, and dual units of measure (DUOM) as they impact cost calculation.

4. Technical Diagnostics & Tools :

- Concurrent Programs : Expertise in monitoring, rerunning, and troubleshooting Standard Concurrent Programs related to costing (e.g., Cost Manager, CST : Inventory Activity Report).

- Technical Tracing : Ability to assist technical teams by identifying relevant transactions using technical tools like FND Debug, personalization, or tracing.

- Report Writer : Familiarity with creating or modifying standard and custom reports related to cost accounting.

- Interfaces : Understanding of how to troubleshoot issues related to costs coming through API or open interfaces into EBS.

Integration and Cross-Module Knowledge :

- Financial Impact : Strong grasp of the immediate General Ledger (GL) impact from costing transactions.

- Module Integration Points : Expert knowledge of the integration points between Costing (CST) and Inventory (INV), Bill of Materials (BOM), Work in Process (WIP), and Purchasing (PO).
