About the Role :


We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Oracle EBS Fixed Assets Functional Consultant to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess deep functional knowledge of the Oracle E-Business Suite (EBS) Fixed Assets module and a proven track record in implementing, upgrading, and supporting complex financial systems. This role requires a blend of strong technical understanding, excellent communication skills, and the ability to translate business requirements into effective Oracle solutions.

Key Responsibilities :


- Functional Expertise in Oracle EBS Fixed Assets : Serve as the subject matter expert for the Oracle EBS Fixed Assets module, providing comprehensive functional support and guidance.

- End-to-End Project Lifecycle : Lead or actively participate in all phases of Oracle EBS Fixed Assets projects, including end-to-end implementations, upgrades, and ongoing support engagements.

- Core Fixed Assets Processes : Demonstrate proficiency and hands-on experience in configuring and managing all core Fixed Assets processes, including :

- Asset Additions : Capitalization of new assets, mass additions, and manual additions.

- Transfers : Inter-company, inter-location, and inter-category asset transfers.

- Retirements : Full and partial asset retirements, including gain/loss calculation.

- Reclassifications : Changing asset categories and other attributes.

- Depreciation : Setting up and running various depreciation methods, conventions, and calendars.

- Module Integrations : Possess hands-on experience with integrations between the Fixed Assets module and other relevant Oracle EBS modules, particularly Oracle Payables (for invoice capitalization) and Oracle Projects (for project asset capitalization).

- Requirements Gathering & Solution Design : Ability to effectively gather and analyze complex business requirements from stakeholders, conduct Conference Room Pilots (CRPs) to validate solutions, and translate requirements into detailed functional design specifications (FDS).

- Accounting & Financial Process Understanding : Possess a good understanding of core accounting principles and financial processes related to the asset lifecycle, including capitalization rules, depreciation methods, and financial reporting.

- Data Migration and Reconciliation : Experience with data migration strategies and execution, including data cleansing, conversion, and reconciliation during asset conversion from legacy systems to Oracle EBS.

- Collaboration & Communication : Strong problem-solving and communication skills to effectively liaise with business users, finance teams, technical developers, and other project stakeholders. Ability to lead discussions, present solutions, and resolve issues.

- Testing & Training : Develop test cases, execute functional testing, and provide user training and documentation.

Required Qualifications :


- Minimum 7 years of experience with a strong focus on Fixed Assets.

- Oracle EBS Fixed Assets Expertise : Proven, in-depth functional knowledge and configuration experience of the Oracle EBS Fixed Assets module.

- Integration Knowledge : Hands-on experience with integrations between Fixed Assets and Oracle Payables, and Oracle Projects.

- Business Acumen : Good understanding of financial accounting principles and asset management best practices.

- Communication : Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

- Analytical Skills : Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

Preferred Qualifications :


- Oracle EBS R12 Version : Extensive experience with Oracle EBS R12 version is highly preferred.

- Experience with other Oracle EBS financial modules (GL, AP, AR, CM).

- Oracle certifications related to EBS Financials or Fixed Assets.

- Experience with Oracle reporting tools (e.g., Oracle Reports, BI Publisher).
