Role Overview :

Were seeking an experienced Oracle Database Engineer to manage, optimize, and support mission-critical database systems for high-growth startups and digital products.

Key Responsibilities :

- Design, implement, and maintain Oracle database systems for high-performance, scalable applications.

- Monitor, analyze, and optimize database performance and storage.

- Perform backup and recovery procedures, implement disaster recovery strategies.

- Collaborate with DevOps and engineering teams for seamless integration and deployment.

- Manage database security, access control, and compliance policies.

- Perform regular updates, patches, and upgrades to ensure platform reliability.

- Troubleshoot database issues and provide 24/7 support as needed.

What Were Looking For

- 3+ years of experience managing Oracle databases in production environments.

- Proficient in Oracle RAC, Data Guard, ASM, and RMAN.

- Strong understanding of SQL tuning, PL/SQL, indexing, and query optimization.

- Experience with high-availability solutions and performance diagnostics.

- Familiarity with Unix/Linux environments and shell scripting.

- Knowledge of Oracle security architecture, encryption, and data masking.

- Ability to interpret application workflows and align database design accordingly.

Preferred Skills :

- Experience with Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) or other cloud platforms.

- Working knowledge of PostgreSQL or MySQL as secondary database systems.

- Familiarity with ETL pipelines, data warehousing, and BI tools.

- Experience integrating databases with microservices, APIs, or AI pipelines.

- Exposure to containerized environments (Docker/Kubernetes) is a plus.
