Cynergy Services is a boutique consulting firm that specializes in providing digital, and scalable business solutions that allow businesses to plan better and meet their long-term digital transformation strategy.

We are looking for an experienced Oracle Database Engineer to manage, optimize, and support enterprise-grade Oracle database environments. The ideal candidate should have deep expertise in Oracle database administration, performance tuning, high availability solutions, and troubleshooting complex production issues. This role is based in Bangalore and requires hands-on experience with critical business systems and databases.

Key Responsibilities :

- Install, configure, and maintain Oracle databases (including RAC, ASM, and Data Guard)

- Perform regular database tuning, optimization, and capacity planning

- Ensure high availability, backup & recovery, and disaster recovery readiness

- Monitor database health and performance using tools like OEM, AWR, ADDM, and StatsPack

- Manage and implement security policies, user access, and database roles

- Write and optimize SQL scripts, PL/SQL procedures, and database jobs

- Troubleshoot and resolve production issues, including slow queries and replication problems

- Collaborate with development, QA, and infrastructure teams to support application requirements

- Participate in database migration, patching, and upgrade activities

Required Skills & Qualifications :

- 5+ years of hands-on experience as an Oracle Database Administrator

- In-depth knowledge of Oracle 12c/19c database architecture and internals

- Experience with RAC, ASM, Data Guard, and RMAN

- Strong proficiency in SQL and PL/SQL development

- Experience with Oracle Enterprise Manager (OEM) and other monitoring tools

- Working knowledge of Linux/Unix systems and shell scripting

- Solid understanding of database security, backups, and disaster recovery strategies

- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills

Preferred Qualifications :

- Oracle Certified Professional (OCP) certification

- Exposure to cloud-based Oracle deployments (OCI, AWS RDS for Oracle)

- Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments
