Job Description :

As an Oracle DBA Level 2, will be responsible for managing and maintaining Oracle databases across various environments, including production, development, and testing.

You will work closely with the Level 1 DBAs and senior DBAs to ensure high availability, performance, and security of the Oracle databases.

This role requires technical expertise in Oracle database administration and the ability to handle routine database management tasks while troubleshooting and resolving database issues.

Key Responsibilities :

Database Installation and Configuration :

- Install and configure Oracle Database software and related components (e.g., Oracle Grid Infrastructure, Oracle RAC).

- Perform database patches, upgrades, and version migrations under the guidance of senior DBAs.

- Set up and configure database instances, including creating Oracle databases and applying required configurations.

Database Performance Monitoring And Tuning :

- Monitor database performance using tools like Oracle Enterprise Manager, AWR reports, ASH reports, and SQL tracing.

- Identify performance bottlenecks and implement optimizations, including SQL tuning, indexing, and database parameter adjustments.

Key Skill :

- Experience with Oracle 11g/12c/18c/19c or higher.

- Familiarity with Oracle RAC, ASM, Data Guard, and RMAN.

- Strong knowledge of Oracle Database architecture and internal mechanisms.

- Proficient in SQL and PL/SQL for querying, troubleshooting, and automating tasks.

- Working knowledge of Oracle Enterprise Manager and other Oracle diagnostic tools.

- Experience with performance tuning, backup/recovery strategies, and database security.
