Key Responsibilities :
- Install, configure, upgrade, and maintain Oracle databases (11g/12c/19c or above) in production and non-production environments.
- Perform database administration activities including user management, tablespace management, storage allocation, and capacity planning.
- Monitor database performance, identify bottlenecks, and perform tuning using tools such as AWR, ADDM, and OEM.
- Manage backup and recovery strategies using RMAN; perform regular backup validation and disaster recovery drills.
- Implement and manage high availability and disaster recovery solutions such as Data Guard and RAC (if applicable).
- Ensure database security by implementing best practices, patching, auditing, and compliance standards.
- Handle database migrations, upgrades, and patching with minimal downtime.
- Troubleshoot and resolve database-related incidents, performance issues, and failures within defined SLAs.
- Work closely with application, infrastructure, and development teams to support database requirements.
- Maintain database documentation, SOPs, and change management records.
- Participate in on-call support and provide after-hours support as required.
Required Skills & Qualifications :
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- 4+ years of hands-on experience as an Oracle DBA in enterprise environments.
- Strong expertise in Oracle architecture, SQL, and PL/SQL.
- Experience with RMAN backups, recovery scenarios, and performance tuning.
- Knowledge of Oracle RAC, Data Guard, ASM, and OEM is highly desirable.
- Experience with Linux/Unix operating systems.
- Understanding of ITIL processes, change management, and incident management.
- Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.
