We are looking for an experienced Oracle Database Administrator (DBA) with strong AWS cloud expertise to join a high-performing engineering team. This role focuses on managing mission-critical Oracle databases in a cloud-first environment, with exposure to PostgreSQL and SQL Server.

Key Responsibilities :

- Deploy, configure, administer, and maintain Oracle databases on AWS (EC2 and RDS)

- Monitor database health and performance using Oracle Enterprise Manager (OEM) and AWS CloudWatch

- Perform database performance tuning, SQL/PLSQL optimization, and root-cause analysis for production issues

- Implement and manage backup, recovery, and retention strategies using RMAN

- Plan and execute database patching, upgrades, and maintenance activities

- Ensure database security, including encryption, auditing, user access control, and compliance standards

- Design, implement, and support high availability and disaster recovery solutions (Oracle Data Guard, SQL Server AlwaysON, Multi-AZ RDS)

- Provide advanced operational support for PostgreSQL and SQL Server environments on AWS

- Support database migrations and modernization initiatives, including on-prem to cloud and Oracle to PostgreSQL migrations

- Collaborate with DevOps teams to integrate databases with CI/CD pipelines and cloud automation frameworks

- Participate in 24/7 on-call rotation and production support activities

Required Skills & Qualifications :

- Bachelors degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience

- 57+ years of hands-on experience as an Oracle DBA in production environments

- Strong experience managing Oracle databases on AWS (EC2 / RDS)

- In-depth knowledge of Oracle Enterprise Manager (OEM)

- Strong expertise in SQL, PL/SQL, and performance tuning

- Hands-on experience with RMAN, backup & recovery, patching, and upgrades

- Familiarity with AWS services such as CloudWatch, IAM, S3, and DMS

- Strong understanding of database security, encryption, auditing, and compliance

Preferred / Good to Have :

- Experience supporting PostgreSQL and/or SQL Server on AWS

- Database migration experience using AWS DMS, Ora2Pg, or similar tools

- Automation and scripting experience using Bash, Python, AWS Lambda

- Knowledge of Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation

- AWS Certifications (Database Specialty / Solutions Architect)

- Strong communication skills and a DevOps-oriented mindset
