Role : Oracle Database Administrator (Full Time - Onsite)

Job description :

Roles and Responsibilities :

- Perform database administration tasks on Oracle databases, including backup/restore using RMAN and Golden Gate.

- Configure and manage Exadata infrastructure, as well as perform performance tuning and troubleshooting.

- Implement Data Guard for disaster recovery purposes.

- Collaborate with development teams to resolve issues related to Progress OpenEdge applications.

- Utilize Git version control system for code management.

- Strong Performance tuning skills Query level tuning / DB tuning / Memory level tuning.

- Expert knowledge of Oracle Database, Goldengate, Exadata, Oracle RAC, Oracle ASM, Data guard, Backup & Recovery etc.

- Strong DBA skills and relevant working experience with Oracle Database 11g and 12c and 19c.

- Experience implementing high availability features of Oracle Database.

- Strong Knowledge & experience in Exadata (X9,X10), ORACLE databases (12c , 19c with Multitenant architecture) on Linux platform with RAC & ASM

- Installation & Configuration of Oracle Database from scratch.

- Good exposure on DC Migration of Oracle Databases along with Data Guard, GRID.

- Should be very strong on the Backup & Restore and related Oracle native tool like RMAN , expdp/impdp etc.

- Strong experience on Oracle patching

- Sound knowledge of both database and system performance tuning , should be having good exposure on the performance tuning after upgrade/ migration.

- Highly skilled at database design, installations, Migration, backup and recovery procedures, access security and database integrity, physical data storage design and data storage management

- Ability to manage database backup, recovery, and disaster recovery planning.

- Proficient in understanding and defining infrastructure and application dependencies during database migration.

- Good experience in scripting languages (e.g., Shell, Python) for automation tasks.

- Experience of different tools like OS watcher, OEM, Device 42, SolarWinds, OEM etc. is an advantage.

- Knowledge of other database systems (e.g., SQL Server, DB2, Mongo etc.) is an advantage.

Job Requirements :

- Strong understanding of Progress 4GL programming language and its integration with Oracle databases.

- Experience working with open source technologies like Git is an added advantage.
