JOB DESCRIPTION :

- Proficient in Oracle and PostgreSQL PL/SQL, with expertise in designing and tuning complex queries, optimizing database performance, and troubleshooting query-related issues.

- Strong knowledge of UNIX Shell Scripting, capable of performing regular database

maintenance tasks such as backups, restores, patching, and automation of routine tasks.

- Extensive experience with Oracle GoldenGate or manual Change Data Capture (CDC)

processes for data replication and synchronization.

- Hands-on-experience in database migration across environments, including On-Prem to cloud or between different database platforms also able to give the best solution approach to provide the migration tools/manual process for best compatible with the re-write.

- Understand provide the solution for Pre & Post migration transformation/Re-conciliation based on the Business Data Mapping and requirements.

- Skilled in re-engineering legacy systems, analysing existing database structures & Data-Mapping w.t Legacy to rewrite, and providing optimised solutions for system rewrites and

modernization.

- Proven ability to act as a solution architect, designing end-to-end database solutions (Data

Modelling, Data Profiling), evaluating emerging technologies, and driving innovation to meet

evolving business needs.

- Proficient in monitoring database health and performance using tools like Oracle Enterprise

Manager, pgAdmin, or manual monitoring techniques.

- Expertise in analysing query execution plans, identifying bottlenecks, and tuning SQL queries

for optimal performance.

- Experienced in configuring and managing database indexes, partitions, and storage structures to enhance database efficiency.

- Strong understanding of Database Security Policies, including implementing user roles, permissions, encryption, and ensuring compliance with organisational and regulatory standards.

- Skilled in identifying and addressing security vulnerabilities, performing audits, and ensuring databases adhere to best practices for security and compliance.

- Knowledgeable in high availability (HA) and disaster recovery (DR) solutions, including Data Guard, replication, and failover mechanisms.

- Familiar with cloud-based database solutions such as Oracle Cloud, AWS RDS for Oracle, or PostgreSQL on Azure.

- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to diagnose and resolve Database related issues efficiently.

- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, capable of working with cross functional

teams to support database related needs.

- Experiencing in documenting database configurations, processes and procedures and

generating reports on database performance and incidents.
