Job Summary :

We are seeking a skilled Oracle Database Administrator (DBA) to manage, maintain, and optimize our Oracle database systems.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the performance, availability, and security of Oracle databases across development, test, and production environments.

Key Responsibilities :

- Install, configure, and upgrade Oracle databases (11g, 12c, 19c, etc.)

- Monitor database performance and implement performance tuning.

- Perform regular database maintenance tasks including backup and recovery (RMAN).

- Set up and manage Oracle Data Guard for high availability and disaster recovery.

- Implement security measures such as user access controls and data encryption.

- Automate tasks through scripting (Shell, PL/SQL, etc.)

- Troubleshoot and resolve database-related issues and provide 24x7 support for critical systems.

- Work with development teams to optimize SQL queries and database schema design.

- Maintain documentation related to database configuration and processes.

- Manage database patching and upgrades with minimal downtime.

Required Qualifications :

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.

- 3+ years of experience as an Oracle DBA in a production environment.

- Strong knowledge of Oracle architecture, performance tuning, and backup/recovery strategies.

- Experience with Oracle RAC, ASM, and Data Guard.

- Proficiency with RMAN, OEM (Oracle Enterprise Manager), and PL/SQL.

- Knowledge of Unix/Linux environments and shell scripting.

- Familiarity with ITIL practices is a plus.
