Job Title : Oracle Data Integrator (ODI) Developer
Experience : 8- 10 years
Location : Remote
Contract Duration : 3 months + ext.
Key Responsibilities :
- Data Warehousing : Design data warehouse tables, including fact and dimension tables, and create the necessary documentation to support the design.
- Database Scripting : Develop table creation scripts and work closely with the Database Administrator (DBA) to ensure their successful execution.
- Data Analysis & Mapping : Analyze diverse data sources to understand data structures, relationships, and dependencies. Map data sources to business requirements as documented in the Business Requirements Documentation (BRD).
- ETL/ELT Processes : Design and develop efficient Extract, Load, Transform (ELT) processes to load data from source systems into staging tables and subsequently into target fact and dimension tables within the data warehouse using Oracle Data Integrator.
- Data Validation : Perform comprehensive data validation and quality checks on the loaded data using Structured Query Language (SQL) and other data analysis techniques to ensure accuracy and integrity.
- Data Governance & Quality : Apply knowledge of data governance practices and data quality issues. Utilize data profiling and querying techniques to ensure data quality throughout the integration process.
- Problem Solving : Proactively research and solve complex data-related problems, including data quality issues and performance bottlenecks.
- Documentation : Create and maintain detailed technical documentation for all data integration processes, including design specifications, data models, and ETL/ELT mappings.
- Collaboration : Work closely with business analysts, data architects, and other stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver high-quality, reliable data solutions.
Required Skills & Qualifications :
- Demonstrated experience in building functions and stored procedures using ODI.
- Proven experience in designing and implementing data warehouse tables, including the creation of detailed documentation.
- Strong proficiency in writing and executing SQL scripts for data manipulation and analysis.
- Solid understanding of data quality issues and experience in applying data profiling and validation techniques.
- Expertise in designing and developing ELT/ETL processes to load data from disparate sources.
- Strong analytical skills with a proven ability to analyze data sources, determine data relationships, and conduct complex data analysis, including calculating data quality metrics.
- Familiarity with data governance principles and practices.
- Excellent problem-solving, research, and troubleshooting skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to articulate technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a remote team.
