Oracle Cloud PaaS Developer -VBCS/APEX/ATP

Key Responsibilities:

- Collect and analyse requirements for web/mobile/low-code applications; design UI/UX and data models.

- Develop applications using VBCS (JavaScript, REST APIs, HTML5/CSS) and APEX (PL/SQL, Forms, Interactive Reports).

- Configure and build backend solutions in ATP database: schema design, PL/SQL packages, tuning, backup/DR, scaling.

- Integrate applications with other cloud services (REST/SOAP APIs), perform data migrations, and use tools such as HDL/ETL where required.

- Work with DevOps practices: version control (Git), CI/CD pipelines, deployments, code reviews and best practices.

- Monitor application performance and database health; troubleshoot, optimise queries, design indexes, and ensure security controls.

- Write technical documentation, assist in testing (unit, UAT), support deployment and post-go-live operations.

- Stay current with Oracle Cloud features (VBCS, APEX, ATP), drive adoption of best practices and improvements.

Skills & Qualifications (Mandatory) :

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.

- 5+ years of software development experience with any combination of VBCS, APEX and Oracle Cloud databases.

- Strong skills in SQL, PL/SQL, REST APIs, JavaScript, HTML5/CSS.

- Hands-on experience with Oracle ATP/Autonomous Database or equivalent cloud RDBMS.

- Experience developing in VBCS and/or APEX: building UI, data objects, forms, reports.

- Exposure to integration technologies, cloud services, and low-code environments.

- Strong problem-solving, analytical, communication and collaboration skills.

Desirable / Nice-to-Have :

- Certification in Oracle Cloud (VBCS/APEX/ATP).

- Experience in global or multi-currency/multi-region deployments.

- Knowledge of related services such as Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC), Autonomous Data Warehouse, OTBI/BIP reporting.

- Experience in Agile methodologies, DevOps, and cloud-native architecture patterns.
