Job Description

The Oracle Cloud Application Developer will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining enterprise-grade applications on the Oracle Cloud platform. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to create scalable, secure, and high-performing solutions that align with business needs. This role demands strong hands-on experience in Oracle Cloud Application Development, deep understanding of Oracle technologies, and the ability to lead or mentor junior developers in delivering high-quality solutions.


Key Responsibilities :


- Design, develop, customize, and maintain Oracle Cloud Applications to meet business requirements.


- Develop extensions, reports, and integrations using Oracle Cloud tools such as Oracle Visual Builder (VBCS), Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC), and Application Composer.


- Work with Oracle Cloud ERP, HCM, or SCM modules (depending on project scope) to design and enhance business processes.


- Create and maintain technical documentation including design specs, test cases, and deployment guides.


- Participate in code reviews, ensuring adherence to coding standards and performance best practices.


- Develop and maintain integrations between Oracle Cloud Applications and third-party systems using REST APIs, SOAP services, and OIC.


- Implement and manage data conversions, interface development, and custom workflows.


- Collaborate with functional consultants to translate business requirements into technical specifications and solutions.


- Conduct unit testing, integration testing, and performance validation for developed components.


- Troubleshoot issues in production and non-production environments, identifying root causes and implementing fixes promptly.


- Optimize system performance and ensure high availability of deployed solutions.


- Work closely with functional, QA, and DevOps teams to ensure successful delivery of Oracle Cloud solutions.


- Engage with cross-functional global teams to support complex project implementations and enhancements.


- Mentor junior developers, providing guidance on Oracle Cloud technologies, coding standards, and design best practices.


- Contribute to process improvements in development, deployment, and testing pipelines.


- Evaluate emerging Oracle Cloud features and recommend adoption strategies.


- Ensure compliance with software development lifecycle (SDLC), security policies, and Oracle Cloud best practices.


Required Skills & Experience :


- Minimum 3+ years of hands-on experience in Oracle Cloud Application Development.


- Strong proficiency in Oracle Cloud tools and frameworks, including : Oracle Visual Builder (VBCS) Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC) Application Composer, BI Publisher, and ADF


- Experience in Oracle Cloud ERP, HCM, or SCM modules (implementation or support).


- Solid understanding of REST/SOAP web services, APIs, and integration design patterns.


- Knowledge of PL/SQL, SQL, Java, JavaScript, or Groovy scripting.


- Understanding of data models, application security, and user provisioning in Oracle Cloud.


- Familiarity with CI/CD, Git, and DevOps practices is a plus.


- Deep understanding of application design principles, SDLC, and agile methodologies.


- Ability to translate functional business requirements into scalable technical solutions.


- Familiarity with Oracle Cloud Implementation Frameworks and upgrade processes.


- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and debugging abilities.


- Strong communication skills for cross-functional collaboration and client interaction.


- Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline.


- Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) Developer Associate Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC) Specialist Oracle Cloud ERP/HCM Implementation Specialist Oracle ADF or VBCS Certification (preferred)
