Optum - Senior Software Engineering Lead - Java/AngularJS/Microservices Architecture

Primary Responsibilities :

- Performing design, coding, unit testing and ensuring conformance to the team s development process and standards

- Review of requirements and/or systems analysis documents for completeness

- Working with the Deployment Lead, peer developers to complete various project deployment activities

- Ensure the performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications

- Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues

- Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features.

- Utilize AI tools such as GitHub Copilot to enhance productivity and efficiency across the team

Qualifications - External

Required Qualifications :

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field

- 8+ years of overall software engineering experience

- Proficient in one or more modern programming languages such as Java,Microservices,Cloud ,React OR Angular

- Experience deploying and operating code in a major cloud provider (AWS, Azure, OCI, Google Cloud)

- Experience in financial technology domain

- Experience with high volume transaction sites

- Experience working with applications deployed in private or public cloud

- Experience in customer facing products

- Proven good oral and written communication Skills

- Proven ability to demonstrate excellent problem-solving skills and hands on experience in React.js

- Proven ability to quickly learn new technologies and leverage them to solve business problems
