We are looking for an experienced PostgreSQL Database Administrator (DBA) with strong hands-on expertise in managing, optimizing, and securing PostgreSQL databases in production environments. The ideal candidate should have experience in high-availability setups, performance tuning, backup/restore strategies, and full lifecycle database management. Experience with MongoDB and Redis is a plus.

Key Responsibilities :

- Manage and maintain PostgreSQL databases across development, testing, and production environments.

- Perform installation, configuration, upgrades, patching, and migrations.

- Implement backup, recovery, and high-availability (HA/DR) solutions such as Streaming Replication, Logical Replication, Patroni, pgBackRest, etc.

- Conduct performance tuning, query optimization, indexing strategies, and capacity planning.

- Monitor and troubleshoot database performance, slow queries, locking issues, and resource bottlenecks.

- Ensure database security, access control, encryption, auditing, and compliance.

- Manage schema design, data modeling, and database refactoring.

- Automate database tasks using Shell/Python scripts.

- Maintain documentation for configurations and troubleshooting steps.

- Collaborate with DevOps, engineering, and product teams for performance improvements.

- Optional : Administer MongoDB and Redis including replication, clustering, and performance tuning.

Mandatory Skills PostgreSQL :

- PostgreSQL administration (5+ yrs)

- SQL performance tuning & query optimization

- Indexing strategies, vacuum/analyze operations

- Backup & Recovery (pg_dump, pgBackRest, WAL archiving)

- High Availability & Replication (Streaming, Logical, Patroni)

- PostgreSQL Security (RBAC, SSL/TLS)

- Monitoring tools : pgAdmin, pgBadger, Prometheus, Grafana, pgbouncer

- Database migrations & upgrades
