Job Summary :
We are seeking an experienced OpenText Content Server (Livelink) professional to manage, configure, support, and optimize our enterprise content management environment. The ideal candidate will have strong technical expertise with OpenText Content Server, a clear understanding of document management processes, and experience integrating Content Server with other enterprise applications. The role requires both technical implementation capabilities and collaboration with business stakeholders to deliver secure, scalable, and high-value content solutions.
Key Responsibilities :
1. System Administration & Support :
- Install, configure, and maintain OpenText Content Server environments (development, testing, production).
- Perform regular system health checks, patching, upgrades, and migrations.
- Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and resolve incidents in a timely manner.
- Support user access management, security groups, roles, and permissions.
- Manage backups, disaster recovery, and failover planning.
2. Development & Customization :
- Customize Content Server using APIs, modules, and workflow tools.
- Create and maintain document types, custom metadata schemas, templates, and forms.
- Develop integrations with external systems (e.g., SAP, SharePoint, Office 365, ERP systems) using standard connectors or APIs.
- Write scripts and utilities to automate business processes and improve efficiency.
3. Solution Design & Implementation :
- Lead requirements gathering and translate business needs into technical design.
- Configure workflows, business rules, and automated routing for content processes.
- Collaborate with architects and developers to ensure scalable and secure solutions.
4. Governance & Best Practices :
- Enforce content lifecycle policies including classification, retention, archiving, and disposal.
- Support compliance with internal and external records management and audit requirements.
- Promote best practices for metadata, version control, and document management.
5. User Training & Documentation :
- Deliver training sessions and workshops for business users and administrators.
- Create operational documentation, how-to guides, and FAQs for support teams.
- Provide ongoing user education on new features and content management practices.
Qualifications & Skills :
Technical Skills :
- Hands-on experience with OpenText Content Server (Livelink) administration and development.
- Strong understanding of enterprise content management (ECM) concepts.
- Experience with Content Server APIs, Web Services, REST/SOAP, and integration frameworks.
- Knowledge of scripting languages (e.g., PowerShell, JavaScript) and database systems (Oracle, MS SQL).
- Familiarity with web technologies (HTML, CSS, XML, JSON) and identity services (LDAP/Active Directory).
