Job Role/Title : OpenShift Test Engineer

Job Description :


- Expertise in OpenShift Container Platform, including cluster architecture, deployment models, and the use of OpenShift-specific features



- Proficient with Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL)



- Hands-on experience with container runtimes, Docker, is necessary. This includes building, running, and managing container images.



- Strong understanding of core Kubernetes concepts



- Knowledge of programming languages (Optional)



- Bachelor's degree : A bachelor's degree in computer science, software engineering, or a related field is typically required.



Roles and Responsibilities :



- Design, deploy, and manage OpenShift Container Platform clusters, ensuring high availability, scalability, and optimal performance across environments.



- Implement and maintain OpenShift architecture, including cluster setup, node configuration, networking, and storage integration.



- Manage containerized applications using Docker and OpenShift including building, securing, deploying, and maintaining container images.



- Monitor and troubleshoot OpenShift and Kubernetes environments, ensuring system reliability, performance tuning, and resource optimization.



- Administer Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) systems, handling updates, patching, and configuration management to support container infrastructure.



- Automate deployments and workflows using CI/CD pipelines integrated with OpenShift and DevOps tools.



- Collaborate with development and operations teams to ensure smooth application deployment, scalability, and security within the container ecosystem.



- Implement best practices for container security, networking, and governance across OpenShift and Kubernetes clusters.



- Support and optimize Kubernetes components such as pods, services, deployments, and ingress controllers.



- Document architecture designs, deployment processes, and operational runbooks for ongoing support and future scalability.



- (Optional) Contribute to scripting or automation tasks using programming languages such as Python, Go, or Bash.
