Job Overview :

We are seeking an experienced OpenShift Consultant to design, develop, and manage cloud-native backend systems using Java and OpenShift, with a strong focus on Red Hat OpenShift on AWS (ROSA). The ideal candidate will have deep hands-on experience in container orchestration, CI/CD automation, and monitoring in distributed environments. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable, secure, and high-performing applications in the cloud.

Key Responsibilities :

- Design, develop, and maintain backend systems using Java and cloud-native architectures

- Deploy, manage, and optimize containerized applications on OpenShift, including ROSA (OpenShift on AWS)

- Build, enhance, and maintain CI/CD pipelines using tools such as ArgoCD and Jenkins

- Implement and manage infrastructure and application monitoring using Splunk, New Relic, and Grafana

- Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues across distributed systems, containers, and cloud infrastructure

- Collaborate with frontend, backend, DevOps, and cloud teams to ensure seamless system integration

- Support application performance tuning, scalability, security, and reliability

- Contribute to frontend changes when required to support end-to-end delivery

- Follow best practices for DevOps, security, and cloud-native development

- Document system architecture, deployment processes, and operational runbooks

Required Skills & Experience

Core Experience:

- 34+ years of hands-on OpenShift experience, preferably with OpenShift on AWS (ROSA)

- 5+ years of backend development experience

- Strong proficiency in Java

Cloud & DevOps :

- Strong hands-on experience with AWS services

- Experience with CI/CD tools such as ArgoCD and Jenkins

- Knowledge of containerization and orchestration best practices

Monitoring & Operations :

- Experience using Splunk, New Relic, and Grafana for monitoring, logging, and alerting

- Strong troubleshooting and debugging skills in distributed systems

Nice-to-Have Skills :

- Exposure to frontend technologies and ability to support minor UI changes

- Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments

- Knowledge of security best practices in cloud and containerized environments
