Must-Have Skills :

- 5+ years of total experience with 3+ years in OpenShift/Kubernetes (Application Support)

- Strong hands-on experience in application deployment and troubleshooting on OCP

- Solid understanding of Kubernetes core objects (Pods, Deployments, Services, etc.)

- Experience in handling production incidents (L2 Support)

- Hands-on with monitoring tools : Prometheus, Grafana

- Experience with logging tools : EFK Stack / Splunk

- Hands-on experience with Helm

- Good understanding of Docker and container lifecycle

- Basic networking knowledge (DNS, TCP/IP in container environments)

- Strong Linux fundamentals and log analysis skills

Role Overview :

As an OpenShift Administrator, you will be at the forefront of managing and maintaining our containerized application platform, ensuring its reliability, scalability, and security. You'll collaborate closely with development, operations, and security teams to streamline application deployments, troubleshoot issues, and optimize performance. Your expertise will directly impact the efficiency of our software delivery pipeline and the overall stability of our production environment, ultimately contributing to enhanced customer experiences and business growth.

Key Responsibilities :

- Manage and maintain the OpenShift Container Platform, ensuring high availability, performance, and security for all applications deployed on the platform.

- Automate deployment, scaling, and management of containerized applications using Kubernetes and OpenShift features to improve efficiency and reduce manual effort.

- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to OpenShift infrastructure, container deployments, and application performance to minimize downtime and ensure business continuity.

- Implement and enforce security policies, access controls, and compliance standards within the OpenShift environment to protect sensitive data and prevent unauthorized access.

- Monitor system performance, identify bottlenecks, and implement optimizations to ensure efficient resource utilization and optimal application performance.

- Collaborate with development and operations teams to provide guidance and support on containerization best practices, OpenShift features, and deployment strategies to accelerate application delivery.

- Develop and maintain documentation, standard operating procedures, and automation scripts to streamline operations and improve knowledge sharing.

Required Skillset :

- Demonstrated ability to administer and manage OpenShift Container Platform in a production environment, including installation, configuration, upgrades, and troubleshooting.

- Proven expertise in containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes, including container orchestration, networking, and storage management.

- Strong scripting skills in languages such as Python, Bash, or Ansible to automate tasks, manage configurations, and monitor system performance.

- Experience with log management and analysis tools such as Splunk to identify and resolve issues, monitor security threats, and improve system performance.

- Solid understanding of Linux operating systems, including system administration, networking, and security principles.

- Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP and experience deploying and managing applications in a cloud environment.

- Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment and communicate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
