Job Description

Job Summary :

We are seeking an experienced and proactive OpenShift Administrator to manage and maintain OpenShift clusters in high-availability production environments. The ideal candidate should have strong hands-on expertise in OpenShift administration, Kubernetes, GitOps automation, and Linux systems. You will be responsible for ensuring the performance, reliability, and security of the OpenShift platform and supporting DevOps practices across the organization.

Key Responsibilities :

- Install, configure, upgrade, and manage OpenShift clusters (on-premises or cloud-based)

- Manage and administer OpenShift Data Foundation (ODF) storage

- Ensure high availability and disaster recovery of the OpenShift environment

- Implement and manage GitOps workflows using GitLab and ArgoCD

- Perform cluster monitoring, logging, alerting, and proactive troubleshooting

- Apply security hardening, patches, and vulnerability remediation for OpenShift and Kubernetes

- Collaborate with development, DevOps, and infrastructure teams for deployments and CI/CD integration

- Automate operational tasks and improve cluster lifecycle management

- Maintain documentation and provide knowledge transfer to teams as required.

Required Skills & Experience :

- 4-9 years of experience in IT infrastructure with at least 3+ years in OpenShift Administration

- Strong understanding of OpenShift architecture, components (API server, etcd, controllers, etc.), and internals

- Solid knowledge of Kubernetes, Linux (RHEL/CentOS), and containerization concepts

- Proven experience in GitOps practices using GitLab and ArgoCD

- Hands-on experience with ODF or other storage solutions in OpenShift

- Familiarity with tools like Prometheus, Grafana, Elasticsearch, Kibana, or similar for monitoring/logging

- Experience with TLS/SSL, RBAC, OAuth, secrets management, and other security best practices.

Preferred Qualifications :

- Red Hat Certified Specialist in OpenShift Administration (RHCSA/RHCE/OpenShift certs preferred)

- Experience with public cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or GCP

- Exposure to CI/CD pipelines and DevSecOps practices

- Scripting skills (Bash, Python, or Ansible).

- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities

- Excellent communication and documentation skills

- Ability to work in a fast-paced and collaborative environment.
