Role Description :

The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with Oracle databases and applications, and will be responsible for managing, optimizing, and supporting mission-critical systems.

This is a full-time remote role requiring a high degree of technical proficiency and collaboration with cross-functional teams.

Key Responsibility Areas (KRAs) :

- Perform regular database performance monitoring and tuning to ensure high availability and efficiency.

- Troubleshoot database-related issues and resolve them in a timely manner.

- Collaborate with application developers and business analysts to design and implement database solutions.

- Create and maintain database documentation, including data models, ER diagrams, and process flows.

- Ensure database security, integrity, and backup/recovery processes are in place and functioning correctly.

- Participate in system upgrades, patching, and migration activities.

- Support automation of database administration tasks where applicable.

- Provide technical support during software development and deployment life cycles.

Required Skillsets :

- Proficiency in SQL and PL/SQL programming.

- Hands-on experience in Oracle performance tuning and query optimization.

- Knowledge of Oracle Data Guard, RMAN, and database backup and recovery strategies.

- Experience with Oracle Enterprise Manager and database monitoring tools.

- Familiarity with Oracle Forms, Reports, and APEX (preferred).

- Understanding of database security standards and implementation best practices.

- Experience in supporting Oracle on Linux/Unix platforms.

- Good analytical and problem-solving skills.

- Excellent communication and collaboration skills for remote teamwork.
