Job Title : Odoo Migration Techno-Functional Consultant

Experience : 5+ years in Odoo, with proven migration experience

Job Summary :

We are looking for an experienced Odoo Migration Techno-Functional Consultant to manage and deliver end-to-end Odoo version migrations. The role requires a strong understanding of business processes along with technical expertise in Odoo development and data migration. The consultant will work closely with business stakeholders and technical teams to ensure a smooth, accurate, and efficient migration.

Key Responsibilities :

Migration & Technical Responsibilities :

- Lead Odoo version migrations (Enterprise), including major upgrades

- Assess existing Odoo systems, customizations, and integrations

- Upgrade and refactor custom modules to align with new Odoo versions

- Execute data migration, validation, and reconciliation

- Resolve migration-related performance, security, and compatibility issues

- Adapt deprecated APIs and implement new Odoo framework features

- Manage migration environments (staging, UAT, production)

- Support go-live and post-migration stabilization

Functional Responsibilities :

- Analyze current business workflows across Odoo modules

- Map existing functionality to new Odoo versions and propose improvements

- Work with business users to gather migration requirements

- Ensure functional continuity across modules such as :

1. Sales

2. Purchase

3. Inventory

4. Accounting

5. Manufacturing

6. HR

7. CRM

- Conduct functional testing and support User Acceptance Testing (UAT)

- Train users on functional changes post-migration

- Prepare functional and technical documentation

Required Skills & Qualifications :

Technical Skills :

- Strong experience in Odoo development and migration

- Proficiency in Python, PostgreSQL, XML, and JavaScript

- In-depth knowledge of Odoo ORM, models, views, security, and workflows

- Experience with Odoo.sh, Linux servers, and Docker

- Expertise in data migration scripts and tools

- Strong debugging and performance optimization skills

Functional Skills :

- Strong understanding of ERP business processes

- Hands-on experience with multiple Odoo functional modules

- Ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions

- Experience working with finance, supply chain, or manufacturing processes

Preferred Qualifications :

- Experience migrating large or multi-company Odoo databases

- Knowledge of third-party integrations and APIs

- Odoo Functional or Technical Certification (preferred)

- Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies

- Exposure to localization (tax, accounting, compliance)

Soft Skills :

- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills

- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities

- Client-facing experience

- Ability to manage multiple migration projects independently
