Role Overview :

The Head of Digital / India Delivery Head Automotive Digital will lead large-scale digital and software delivery for automotive OEMs and Tier-1 clients.

This executive role is responsible for driving technology strategy, software-led transformation, delivery excellence, and financial performance across complex automotive digital engineering programs.

The role demands deep expertise in automotive software, connected vehicle ecosystems, embedded and cloud platforms, and large global delivery operations, with a strong focus on India-based GCC automotive engagements.

Key Responsibilities :

Digital & Software Delivery Leadership :

- Own end-to-end delivery of automotive digital and software engineering programs across embedded, cloud, and enterprise platforms.

- Lead large, multi-location delivery teams supporting connected vehicles, software-defined vehicles, and digital engineering initiatives.

- Establish scalable delivery frameworks, software governance models, and quality standards aligned to automotive compliance and safety norms.

- Drive predictable, high-quality delivery across Agile and hybrid delivery models.

Technology & Engineering Leadership :

- Define and execute technology strategy for automotive software and digital engineering portfolios.

- Drive modernization initiatives across legacy automotive platforms to cloud-native, API-driven, and software-defined architectures.

- Oversee adoption of modern software engineering practices, tools, and automation across delivery units.

- Partner with architecture, innovation, and CoE teams to build differentiated automotive digital capabilities.

Client & Stakeholder Management :

- Serve as senior delivery sponsor for strategic automotive OEM and Tier-1 relationships.

- Lead executive-level governance, delivery reviews, and transformation roadmaps with client leadership.

- Support presales, solutioning, and large transformation deal pursuits with strong technology and delivery inputs.

People & Organizational Leadership :

- Lead and mentor senior delivery leaders, architects, and program directors managing 500+ engineers.

- Build future-ready software engineering talent through upskilling, certifications, and leadership development.

- Foster a culture of innovation, accountability, engineering excellence, and continuous improvement.

Financial & Business Ownership :

- Own P&L for automotive digital delivery, including revenue growth, margin optimization, and cost control.

- Drive efficiency through automation, reuse, shared platforms, and optimized global delivery models.

- Track and govern delivery KPIs, quality metrics, and financial performance indicators.

Required Experience & Skills :

Experience :

- 2025 years of experience in IT services, engineering services, or digital engineering organizations.

- Minimum 8+ years in senior delivery leadership roles managing large-scale, complex programs.

- Proven experience leading automotive digital delivery for OEMs and Tier-1 suppliers.

- Strong background in managing India-based delivery for global automotive clients and GCC models.

Leadership & Management :

- Demonstrated ability to lead and scale organizations of 500+ engineers.

- Strong delivery governance, program management, and operational excellence expertise.

- Proven capability in managing senior stakeholders across geographies and cultures.

Business & Financial Acumen :

- Strong understanding of P&L management, delivery economics, and commercial models.

- Experience supporting large deals, renewals, and strategic account growth.

Communication & Influence :

- Excellent client-facing communication and executive presentation skills.

- Ability to influence senior stakeholders, internal leadership, and external partners.

Educational Qualifications :

- Bachelors or Masters degree in Engineering Computer Science or related disciplines preferred

- MBA or equivalent management qualification is an added advantage
