We are looking for a Principal Software Engineer to design and build highly scalable, secure, and resilient backend systems for enterprise SaaS applications.

The ideal candidate should have deep expertise in distributed systems, cloud-native architecture, microservices, and modern Java technologies, with the ability to drive technical strategy while remaining hands-on.

Key Responsibilities :

- Design, develop, and optimize scalable backend applications using Java, Spring Boot, Spring Cloud, and RESTful APIs.

- Architect cloud-native, multi-tenant, and highly available microservices for enterprise-scale SaaS platforms.

- Design and optimize distributed systems with a focus on scalability, reliability, security, and performance.

- Develop and maintain data models across SQL and NoSQL databases, ensuring efficient query performance and scalability.

- Build event-driven architectures using Kafka or similar messaging platforms.

- Lead architecture discussions, conduct code reviews, and establish engineering best practices.

- Mentor engineers and provide technical leadership across multiple teams.

- Drive automation through CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure improvements, and developer productivity initiatives.

- Collaborate with Product, Engineering, and Architecture teams to translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions.

- Troubleshoot complex production issues and drive continuous improvements in system reliability and performance.

- Evaluate emerging technologies and AI-assisted development tools to improve engineering efficiency and software quality.

Required Skills :

- 8 to 12 years of experience in software development, with strong expertise in enterprise application architecture.

- Strong hands-on experience with Java, Spring Boot, Spring Cloud, and RESTful API development.

- Proven experience designing distributed systems, microservices, and cloud-native applications.

- Strong expertise in SQL and NoSQL databases, including schema design, optimization, and performance tuning.

- Experience with Kafka or similar event streaming and messaging platforms.

- Hands-on experience with Azure (preferred), AWS, or GCP.

- Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and container orchestration.

- Strong understanding of CI/CD pipelines, DevOps practices, and automated testing.

- Experience building secure, highly available, and scalable enterprise SaaS platforms.

- Excellent problem-solving, communication, stakeholder management, and technical mentoring skills.

Good to Have :

- Experience with Elasticsearch, observability, monitoring, and performance testing tools.

- Exposure to AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot, ChatGPT, Claude Code, or similar.

- Experience building and operating global-scale SaaS platforms.

- Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

- Experience working in Agile development environments.
