Octagos Health - Senior SQL Database Developer

Key Responsibilities :

- Design, develop and support relational database solutions in a Microsoft SQL Server environment.

- Develop, test, and modify various SQL queries, Stored Procedures, Views to enhance the performance.

- Promote and recommend best practices to improve automation frameworks and processes, including maintenance issues, operation requirements, disaster recovery and security.

- Maintain documentation for technical processes, procedures and training materials for applications, databases, and systems.

- Troubleshoot database issues at run time.

Required Skills and Experience :

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field.

- 6+ years of experience in SQL Server database development and administration.

- Strong proficiency in SQL, T-SQL, and SQL Server Management Studio.

- Experience with database design, normalization, and optimization techniques.

- Knowledge of performance tuning strategies and tools.

- Understanding of database security best practices.

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Preferred Qualifications :

- Experience with cloud-based database solutions (Azure SQL Database, AWS RDS)

- Knowledge of scripting languages (Python, PowerShell)

- Certification in Microsoft SQL Server
