Summary :

We're looking for a QA Automation Engineer to own the design, build, and scaling of our test automation across web, API, and backend services.

You'll partner closely with engineering, product, and DevOps to embed quality into every stage of the delivery lifecycle - from design reviews to CI/CD pipelines - and raise the bar on release confidence, speed, and coverage.

The candidate will also be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing intelligent, AI-driven test automation solutions and autonomous QA agents to improve testing efficiency, coverage, and reliability.

This role serves as a brand ambassador for Technology at Oaktree and the Technology Strategy & operations team, which aims to support digital transformation, service excellence, and disciplined execution.

What You'll Do :

- Design, develop, and maintain scalable automated test frameworks for UI, API, and end-to-end workflows.

- Define and drive the test strategy across functional, regression, performance, and integration testing.

- Build agentic AI tools for intelligent test case generation and automation script development.

- Develop autonomous agents for test execution, failure analysis, and regression selection.

- Integrate AI agents with test frameworks, Git repositories, CI/CD platforms, and defect management systems.

- Develop MCP servers and reusable tools for AI-driven QA workflows.

- Drive innovation in intelligent quality engineering and reduce repetitive testing effort.

- Identify gaps in coverage, triage flaky tests, and continuously improve framework reliability and runtime.

- Mentor junior QA engineers and partner with developers to shift quality left.

- Collaborate with product and engineering to translate requirements into clear, testable acceptance criteria.

- Champion best practices in test design, defect management, and quality metrics reporting.

Qualifications - What we're looking for :

- 8 - 14 years of experience in QA with a strong focus on test automation.

- Expertise in Playwright, Selenium, pytest, and API test automation.

- Strong programming skills in JavaScript/TypeScript, Python, or Java.

- Hands-on experience testing REST and/or GraphQL APIs (Postman, RestAssured, Supertest, or similar).

- Proven experience integrating tests into CI/CD systems (GitHub Actions, Jenkins, CircleCI, GitLab CI).

- Solid understanding of SQL and the ability to validate data across services and databases.

- Experience testing in cloud environments (AWS, GCP, or Azure) and containerized stacks (Docker, Kubernetes).

- Proven experience designing scalable and reusable test automation frameworks.

- Hands-on experience integrating LLMs using OpenAI, Azure OpenAI, Claude, or equivalent APIs.

- Experience building AI agents using LangGraph, OpenAI Agents SDK, or equivalent frameworks.

- Understanding of Model Context Protocol (MCP), function calling, and agent-tool integration.

- Experience with prompt engineering, structured outputs, and context management.

- Knowledge of RAG, embeddings, vector databases, and retrieval pipelines.

- Experience with GitHub Copilot, Cursor, Codex, Claude Code, or similar AI development tools.

- Deep knowledge of QA methodologies, the testing pyramid, and modern Agile/Scrum practices.

- Excellent communication skills and a track record of influencing quality culture across teams.

- Hands-on experience with Jira and Confluence for test management, defect tracking, and documentation.

- Strong documentation skills, with the ability to clearly capture test plans, results, and quality metrics for technical and non-technical audiences.

Nice to Have :

- Experience with performance testing tools (k6, JMeter, Gatling).

- Exposure to security or accessibility testing.

- Contributions to open-source testing tools or internal QA tooling.

- ISTQB or equivalent certification.
