Sr Software Engineer Backend (Java)

Location: Chennai/Remote.

Experience: 7+ years.

Notice Period: 30 Days.

Key Responsibilities:

- Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services using Java and Spring Boot.

- Build event-driven and streaming solutions using Kafka for high-throughput, low-latency systems.

- Design and optimize data models using SQL and NoSQL databases (e.g., MySQL/Postgres, MongoDB/Cassandra).

- Own technical design, including low-level and high-level design, performance optimization, and system scalability.

- Ensure code quality through best practices, reviews, testing, and CI/CD pipelines.

- Collaborate with product managers, architects, and other engineers to deliver business-critical features.

- Troubleshoot production issues and drive root-cause analysis.

Required Skills:

- Strong hands-on experience in Java, Spring Boot, and RESTful microservices.

- Solid experience with Kafka or similar messaging/streaming platforms.

- Strong fundamentals in SQL and experience with NoSQL databases.

- Proven experience in system and technical design for distributed systems.

- Good understanding of cloud-native architectures and microservices patterns.

Nice to Have:

- Experience in large-scale eCommerce or high-traffic platforms.

- Exposure to cloud platforms (GCP/AWS/Azure).
