Role Overview :

As a Python Team Lead at Numerator India, you will spearhead the design, development, and maintenance of high-performance backend systems that power our data-intensive applications. You will operate at the heart of our engineering organization, mentoring a team of talented developers while collaborating closely with product managers, data scientists, and cross-functional stakeholders to translate complex business requirements into scalable technical solutions. Your work will directly impact the reliability and speed of our data pipelines, ensuring that our clients receive accurate, real-time insights to drive their strategic decision-making.

Key Responsibilities :

- Architect and oversee the development of robust Python-based microservices to ensure high availability and performance for our core data platforms.

- Mentor and lead a team of software engineers by conducting code reviews, providing technical guidance, and fostering a culture of engineering excellence.

- Collaborate with product and data teams to define technical roadmaps that align with evolving business needs and long-term scalability goals.

- Optimize existing data processing pipelines to improve efficiency, reduce latency, and handle increasing volumes of consumer data.

- Implement best practices in software development, including automated testing, CI/CD integration, and secure coding standards to maintain system integrity.

- Troubleshoot complex production issues and drive root cause analysis to minimize downtime and enhance overall system stability.

Required Skillset :

- Demonstrated expertise in designing and deploying scalable backend systems using Python and modern frameworks like Django, FastAPI, or Flask.

- Proven ability to lead and mentor engineering teams, with a focus on fostering collaborative environments and driving professional growth among team members.

- Strong proficiency in working with relational and NoSQL databases, including advanced query optimization and schema design.

- Experience in building and managing cloud-native applications on platforms such as AWS, GCP, or Azure, with a focus on containerization and orchestration tools like Docker and Kubernetes.

- Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders and influence cross-functional decision-making.

- A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related quantitative field from a premier institute.

- Ability to thrive in a hybrid work environment, demonstrating self-motivation and the capacity to manage distributed team dynamics effectively.

- 7 to 10 years of professional experience in software engineering with a strong track record of delivering high-impact technical projects.
