Role Overview :
As an Infrastructure DevOps Engineer based in Chennai, you will serve as a critical bridge between software development and infrastructure operations. You will be responsible for designing, deploying, and maintaining robust, scalable cloud environments that support mission-critical business applications. Working closely with cross-functional engineering teams and global stakeholders, you will ensure that our production systems remain resilient, secure, and highly available. Your daily contributions will directly impact the reliability of our client-facing platforms, ensuring seamless performance and efficient delivery cycles.
Key Responsibilities :
- Architect and manage scalable container orchestration platforms using Kubernetes or OpenShift to ensure high availability for enterprise applications.
- Automate infrastructure provisioning and configuration management using Terraform and other Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools to reduce manual intervention and improve deployment consistency.
- Design and maintain high-performance CI/CD pipelines that accelerate software delivery while maintaining rigorous quality and security standards.
- Implement comprehensive observability and monitoring frameworks to proactively identify performance bottlenecks and ensure system health.
- Enforce container security best practices across the development lifecycle to protect sensitive data and maintain compliance with industry standards.
- Lead production troubleshooting efforts to resolve complex infrastructure incidents, minimizing downtime and ensuring business continuity for our clients.
Required Skillset :
- Demonstrated expertise in managing large-scale infrastructure on AWS or Azure cloud platforms, with a deep understanding of cloud-native architecture.
- Strong proficiency in Linux system administration, including performance tuning, shell scripting, and security hardening.
- Proven ability to implement and manage containerization strategies using Kubernetes or OpenShift in production environments.
- Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform to manage complex, multi-environment deployments.
- Advanced troubleshooting skills, with the ability to diagnose and resolve complex issues within distributed systems under high-pressure scenarios.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with global teams and articulate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- A minimum of 6 to 8 years of professional experience in DevOps or Site Reliability Engineering roles.
- Ability to work effectively in a hybrid work environment, demonstrating self-motivation and a commitment to continuous learning in a fast-paced industry.
