Role Overview:

As a Senior QA Automation Engineer, you will lead the design and implementation of sophisticated testing frameworks to ensure the reliability and performance of our core platforms. You will work closely with cross-functional development teams, product managers, and system architects to integrate automated testing into the CI/CD pipeline. Your contribution will directly influence the quality of our product releases, ensuring a seamless experience for end-users while reducing technical debt and accelerating time-to-market for new features.

Key Responsibilities:

- Architect and maintain scalable automation frameworks from scratch to improve test coverage and execution speed for complex web and mobile applications.

- Collaborate with developers during the design phase to identify potential bottlenecks and ensure testability of new features before they reach production.

- Mentor junior team members on best practices in automation, code reviews, and defect management to foster a culture of quality across the engineering department.

- Analyze test results and performance metrics to provide actionable insights to stakeholders, ensuring high-quality software delivery.

- Optimize existing test suites by identifying redundant test cases and implementing efficient data-driven testing strategies to reduce maintenance overhead.

Required Skillset:

- Demonstrated expertise in building automation frameworks using Java, Python, or JavaScript, with a deep understanding of Selenium, Appium, or Playwright.

- Proven ability to integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI, or GitHub Actions to support agile delivery cycles.

- Strong proficiency in API testing and automation using tools such as RestAssured or Postman to validate backend services and microservices architecture.

- Exceptional problem-solving skills with the ability to communicate complex technical challenges clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

- A bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, complemented by 7 - 10 years of hands-on experience in software quality assurance.

- Adaptability to work in a hybrid environment at our Hyderabad office, demonstrating the ability to collaborate effectively with distributed teams.
