Job Summary :
We are looking for an experienced Lead Network Administrator to oversee the design, implementation, and maintenance of our organization's network infrastructure.
The ideal candidate will lead a team of network professionals, ensuring network reliability, security, and performance to support business operations.
Key Responsibilities :
- Lead the design, deployment, and management of the organization's network infrastructure including LAN, WAN, VPN, and wireless networks.
- Supervise and mentor a team of network administrators and engineers, providing technical guidance and support.
- Monitor network performance and troubleshoot issues to ensure high availability and optimal performance.
- Implement network security measures such as firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, and access controls to safeguard organizational data.
- Plan and execute network upgrades, patches, and expansions with minimal downtime.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive network documentation including topology diagrams, configurations, and standard operating procedures.
- Collaborate with other IT teams and vendors to integrate new technologies and resolve network-related challenges.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulations, and best practices related to networking and data security.
- Manage network capacity planning and forecasting to meet future organizational needs.
- Respond to network emergencies and provide on-call support as needed.
Qualifications :
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Proven experience 5+ as a Network Administrator, with at least 2 years in a lead or supervisory role.
- Strong knowledge of network protocols (TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, MPLS), hardware, and software.
- Hands-on experience with Cisco, Juniper, or equivalent network hardware and management tools.
- Expertise in configuring and managing firewalls, VPNs, switches, routers, and wireless access points.
- Familiarity with network monitoring tools such as SolarWinds, Nagios, or similar.
- Solid understanding of network security principles and best practices.
- Experience with cloud networking and hybrid environments is a plus.
- Excellent problem-solving and leadership skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal abilities to manage team and coordinate with other departments
