We are looking for an AI Engineer who is excited about applying Large Language Models (LLMs) and Natural Language Processing (NLP) to solve real-world educational challenges, such as automated doubt resolution and adaptive testing.

The Role : AI Engineer

As an AI Engineer at NPrep, you will be the architect of our "Intelligent Learning Layer." You won't just be training models in a vacuum; you will be deploying production-grade AI features that interact with thousands of students daily.

Key Responsibilities :

1. Generative AI & LLM Implementation :

- Doubt Resolution : Develop and optimize RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation) pipelines to provide instant, accurate answers to student queries based on NPreps proprietary medical content.

- Content Generation : Build tools to assist our medical experts in generating high-quality mock questions, explanations, and summaries.

- Prompt Engineering : Design, test, and iterate on complex prompts to ensure AI responses are empathetic, educational, and safe.

2. Machine Learning & Personalization :

- Adaptive Learning : Develop algorithms that analyze student performance data to recommend personalized "weak area" practice sessions.

- NLP Pipelines : Build and maintain NLP models for automated essay scoring, speech-to-text (for video lectures), and semantic search within the app.

- Model Evaluation : Establish rigorous evaluation frameworks (LLM-as-a-judge, human-in-the-loop) to minimize hallucinations in medical contexts.

3. Engineering & Deployment :

- API Integration : Deploy models as scalable APIs (using FastAPI or Flask) and integrate them with our Node.js/Flutter ecosystem.

- Optimization : Fine-tune open-source models (like Llama or Mistral) for specific medical education tasks to balance performance and latency.

Required Qualifications (Must-Haves) :

- Experience : 2+ years of experience in AI/ML engineering, with a strong portfolio of Generative AI or NLP projects.

- Technical Stack : Proficiency in Python and deep learning frameworks like PyTorch or TensorFlow.

- LLM Expertise : Hands-on experience with OpenAI APIs, LangChain, LlamaIndex, and vector databases (e.g., Pinecone, Weaviate, or Milvus).

- Data Engineering : Ability to clean, preprocess, and structure messy educational data for model training.

- Clinical Precision : An obsessive attention to detailunderstanding that in medical education, accuracy isn't just a metric; it's a requirement.

Desirable Skills (Nice-to-Haves) :

- Experience in the EdTech sector or with Adaptive Learning systems.

- Familiarity with fine-tuning models on medical datasets (PubMed, etc.).

- Knowledge of cloud AI services (AWS SageMaker, Google Vertex AI).
