Java AWS Developer

Job Overview :

We are looking for an experienced Java AWS Developer with strong expertise in Java, Spring Boot, Microservices, and AWS cloud technologies. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in API gateway migration, preferably from Zuul to Envoy, along with a strong understanding of distributed systems, event-driven architectures, and cloud-native application development.

The candidate will be responsible for developing and maintaining scalable microservices, managing API integrations, implementing CI/CD pipelines, and troubleshooting production issues.

Key Responsibilities :

- Design, develop, and maintain scalable microservices-based applications using Java and Spring Boot.

- Migrate API gateways, preferably from Zuul to Envoy.

- Configure and manage Envoy routing, security, observability, and traffic management.

- Develop and maintain event-driven applications using Apache Kafka.

- Work with MongoDB and PostgreSQL for database management and integration.

- Deploy and manage containerized applications using Docker and Kubernetes.

- Implement deployment automation using Argo CD.

- Leverage AWS cloud services for application development, deployment, and infrastructure management.

- Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines using GitHub-based tools.

- Perform end-to-end API and integration testing using TestNG and JUnit.

- Utilize AI-powered coding assistants such as Claude Code and GitHub Copilot to improve development productivity.

- Troubleshoot distributed systems, investigate production issues, and ensure application reliability.

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable and high-performance solutions.

Mandatory Skills & Experience :

- Strong hands-on experience with Java and Spring Boot.

- Expertise in Microservices architecture and distributed systems.

- Experience migrating API gateways, preferably from Zuul to Envoy.

- Good knowledge of Envoy routing, security, observability, and traffic management.

- Hands-on experience with Apache Kafka and event-driven architectures.

- Experience working with MongoDB and PostgreSQL.

- Strong knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes.

- Hands-on experience with Argo CD.

- Strong experience with AWS cloud services.

- Familiarity with GitHub-based CI/CD pipelines.

- Experience with end-to-end API and integration testing using TestNG and JUnit.

- Ability to troubleshoot complex distributed systems and production issues.

- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
