Node.js Architect

Description :

The candidate will have responsibilities across the following functions :

System Architecture and Design :

- Design and architect scalable, distributed backend systems using Node.js.

- Own HLD and LLD, ensuring performance, scalability, and reliability.

- Define best practices for API design, microservices, and event-driven architecture.

AI-Driven Development :

- Leverage AI tools (Claude, Cursor, GitHub Copilot, etc.) for :

1. Code generation and optimisation.

2. Debugging and performance tuning.

3. Documentation and test automation.

- Drive adoption of AI-assisted engineering workflows across teams.

Backend Engineering Excellence :

- Build and optimise high-performance APIs and services.

- Ensure low latency, high availability, and fault tolerance.

- Implement caching, queueing systems, and database optimisations.

Team Leadership and Mentorship :

- Lead and mentor engineering teams.

- Conduct code reviews and architecture reviews.

- Guide developers on AI-first development practices.

Collaboration and Stakeholder Management :

- Work closely with product, DevOps, and data teams.

- Translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions.

- Drive alignment across cross-functional teams.

Requirements :

- 6+ years of experience in backend development, with a strong focus on Node.js.

- Proven experience in system design, distributed systems, and microservices.

- Hands-on with databases (SQL/NoSQL), caching, and messaging systems.

- Strong experience with cloud platforms (AWS/GCP/Azure).

- Experience using AI tools like Claude, Cursor, and Copilot in daily development workflows.

- Strong understanding of performance optimisation and scalability.
