Description :

- Lead architecture, design, and scalability efforts across key backend systems powering millions of users.

- Own platform stability, uptime SLAs, and latency targets across product surfaces (web, mobile, API).

- Architect systems that handle high QPS, concurrency, and real-time data processing.

- Drive adoption of engineering best practices CI/CD, observability, security, automation, and performance optimization.

- Guide microservices strategy, orchestration (Kubernetes), and service-to-service communication frameworks.

- Collaborate with Data Engineering, Product, and DevOps to evolve platform capabilities and developer velocity.

- Mentor senior engineers and technical leaders across backend, infra, and data domains.

Technical Skill Requirements :

Core Architecture & Systems Design :

- Proven expertise in designing large-scale distributed systems (e.g., 10M+ DAU, 100K+ QPS).

- Deep understanding of microservices, domain-driven design (DDD), and event-driven architectures (Kafka/RabbitMQ).

- Experience with caching strategies (Redis, CDN), API rate limiting, message queues, and load balancing.

Backend Technologies :

- Expert in Java, Kotlin, or Node.js in high-throughput systems.

- Strong understanding of REST/gRPC APIs, concurrency, multi-threading, and fault tolerance.

- Experience with Spring Boot, Vert.x, or reactive frameworks.

Frontend Technologies :

- Familiar with architecture principles (component reuse, state patterns, SSR/hydration).

- Experience with mobile vs web tradeoffs, and native vs hybrid decisions.

- WebTechnologies like React, TypeScript and related technologies

Infrastructure & DevOps :

- Strong hands-on exposure to AWS / GCP, containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), and infrastructure-as-code tools (Terraform, Pulumi).

- Ownership of CI/CD pipelines, observability stacks (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, Datadog), and incident management practices (SRE principles).

Data at Scale :

- Experience with OLTP and OLAP systems, including MySQL, PostgreSQL, Cassandra, Elasticsearch, and Redshift.

- Understanding of big data architectures (Kafka + Spark/Presto/Hive).

- Proven experience with data modeling, indexing, and query optimization.

Security & Compliance :

- Applied knowledge of application and infrastructure security at scale.

- Familiarity with rate limiting, OAuth2, encryption, and secure-by-default practices.

Experience :

- 7-10 years of hands-on engineering experience with at least 3 years in a senior leadership role.

- Led or significantly contributed to systems handling millions of MAUs, high throughput APIs, or real-time logistics.

- Prior experience in high-growth consumer tech or marketplace companies .

- Deep familiarity with product-first engineering culture and fast-paced decision making.
