Role Overview :

The Lead DevOps Engineer is a senior technical leadership role requiring a minimum of 9+ years of experience with mandatory deep expertise across Azure, GCP (Google Cloud Platform), Kubernetes, Helm Charts, Docker, and Linux.

The incumbent will be responsible for leading the design, implementation, and maintenance of advanced, secure, and scalable CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions and other automation tools in a multi-cloud environment.

This role demands technical leadership, automation skills, and a strong focus on the reliability and security of containerized applications.

Job Summary :

We are seeking a Lead DevOps Engineer (9+ years experience) with mandatory deep expertise in Azure, GCP, Kubernetes, and Helm Charts. The ideal candidate will provide technical leadership for multi-cloud infrastructure and deployment automation. Key responsibilities include developing and maintaining complex Helm charts for efficient Kubernetes deployments, building and managing robust CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions, developing automation scripts using Bash/Python, and ensuring the security, scalability, and reliability of the entire CI/CD process across the organization's cloud landscape.

Key Responsibilities and Technical Deliverables :

Cloud Infrastructure and Container Orchestration :

- Leverage Deep expertise in Azure and GCP to architect, provision, and manage highly available and cost-optimized infrastructure in multi-cloud environments (IaaS and PaaS services).

- Demonstrate mandatory expertise in Kubernetes administration, scaling, and operational management.

- Develop and maintain Helm charts for efficient Kubernetes deployments, managing complex application configurations, dependencies, and releases across various environments.

- Maintain strong proficiency in Docker for container image creation, optimization, and repository management.

CI/CD, Automation, and Reliability :

- Build and manage CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions and other automation tools (e.g., Jenkins, Azure DevOps, GitLab CI), integrating security, testing, and quality gates throughout the process.

- Develop automation scripts using Bash, Python, or other scripting languages (e.g., Go, PowerShell) to automate environment setup, configuration management, and system monitoring tasks.

- Troubleshoot and resolve complex Kubernetes, Docker, and CI/CD pipeline issues promptly, focusing on minimizing Mean Time To Resolution (MTTR).

- Ensure the security, scalability, and reliability of the CI/CD process, implementing best practices for secrets management (e.g., Azure Key Vault, HashiCorp Vault), static analysis, and vulnerability scanning.

Platform and Linux Administration :

- Maintain a strong grasp of CI/CD pipelines principles and architectural patterns (e.g., GitOps, trunk-based development).

- Demonstrate Deep expertise in Linux administration, system hardening, and performance tuning for both cloud VMs and Kubernetes worker nodes.

- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior engineers on best practices, tooling, and troubleshooting methodologies.

Mandatory Skills & Qualifications :

- Experience : Minimum 9+ years experience in DevOps/Cloud/SRE roles.

- Cloud : Deep expertise in Azure and GCP (multi-cloud experience).

- Containerization : Mandatory expertise in Kubernetes, Helm Charts, and Docker.

- Automation/CI/CD : Strong grasp of CI/CD pipelines and hands-on experience with GitHub Actions.

- OS/Scripting : Deep expertise in Linux and proficiency in Bash/Python for automation.

Preferred Skills :

- Kubernetes Certification (CKA, CKS).

- Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform or Pulumi.

- Expertise in service mesh technologies (e.g., Istio, Linkerd).

- Advanced knowledge of monitoring and observability tools (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK/Azure Monitor).
