About the Role :

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Network Engineer to join our IT Infrastructure team. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of network protocols, server administration, firewall management, and virtualization platforms. This is a hands-on role focused on designing, configuring, maintaining, and troubleshooting enterprise-grade networks and associated systems.

Key Responsibilities :

- Design, deploy, and maintain scalable and secure LAN/WAN networks.

- Administer and troubleshoot Windows Server and Windows Desktop environments.

- Configure and manage firewalls, routers, and network switches with strong knowledge of access control policies and VPN technologies.

- Manage and troubleshoot virtual environments, including VMware vSphere and Microsoft Hyper?V.

- Administer Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, IIS, WDS, WSUS, and Group Policy Objects (GPO).

- Support and maintain SQL Server instances used for internal applications and systems.

- Deploy and monitor site-to-site and client VPN connections, ensuring secure access and minimal downtime.

- Assist in planning and executing disaster recovery strategies and backup solutions.

- Maintain server patching schedules, WSUS configurations, and update compliance reporting.

- Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to address IT support tickets, infrastructure upgrades, and system integrations.

- Monitor infrastructure performance, identify bottlenecks, and proactively improve system efficiency.

- Document network topologies, configuration changes, and operational procedures.

Technical Skills Required :

- Strong experience with Windows Server (2016/2019/2022) and Desktop OS (Windows 10/11) troubleshooting.

- Proficient in firewall configuration and management (e.g., Fortinet, Palo Alto, Sophos, or similar).

- Hands-on experience with VMware ESXi, vCenter, and/or Hyper?V environments.

- Basic to intermediate knowledge of Linux systems (Ubuntu, CentOS, or RHEL).

- Familiarity with AWS Cloud fundamentals, including EC2, VPC, and S3.

- Strong understanding and practical expertise in IIS, DNS, DHCP, VPN, WSUS, WDS, and SQL Server administration.

- Networking protocols : TCP/IP, HTTP/S, SNMP, FTP, SSH, RDP.

- Network diagnostic tools : Wireshark, Nmap, NetFlow, PRTG, etc.

Preferred Qualifications :

- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

- Relevant certifications such as CCNA, MCSA/MCSE, VMware VCP, or AWS Certified SysOps Administrator.

- Strong problem-solving and communication skills with a proactive and collaborative mindset.

- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision.

- Experience working in a financial, fintech, or enterprise IT environment is a plus.
