About the Role :

We are looking for an experienced Next.js Developer to join our front-end engineering team. The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in building fast, scalable, and SEO-friendly web applications using Next.js and the modern React ecosystem.

You will be responsible for developing server-side rendered (SSR), static site generated (SSG), and client-side rendered applications tailored to product requirements. This role involves close collaboration with designers, backend engineers, DevOps, and product teams.

Key Responsibilities

Next.js & Frontend Development

- Develop highly responsive and scalable web applications using Next.js, ReactJS, and TypeScript/JavaScript.

- Implement SSR, SSG, and ISR (Incremental Static Regeneration) as per product needs.

- Build reusable UI components with clean and modular architecture.

- Optimize application performance using techniques like prefetching, caching, and lazy loading.

- Ensure SEO optimization, page speed improvements, and mobile responsiveness.

Architecture & System Design

- Design and maintain scalable front-end architecture using React + Next.js best practices.

- Implement routing, data fetching strategies (getServerSideProps, getStaticProps, API routes).

- Work with backend teams to define data models, caching layers, and API integration.

API Integration & Data Handling

- Integrate REST/GraphQL APIs seamlessly with Next.js pages and components.

- Build API routes within Next.js for server-side functions where required.

- Manage client-side and server-side state using Redux, Context API, SWR, React Query, or Zustand.

UI/UX Collaboration

- Convert UI/UX designs into pixel-perfect code using HTML5, CSS3, SCSS, Tailwind, or Material UI.

- Ensure cross-browser compatibility, accessibility (WCAG), and smooth user experience.

Testing & Code Quality

- Write clean, well-structured, and maintainable code with proper documentation.

- Implement unit tests and component tests using Jest, React Testing Library, or Cypress.

- Participate in code reviews, refactoring, and continuous improvements.

Performance, Security & Optimization

- Optimize page speed, LCP, FID, and CLS using best practices.

- Ensure strong security practices, including prevention of XSS, CSRF, and other vulnerabilities.

- Track performance metrics using Lighthouse, Web Vitals, or monitoring tools.

Collaboration & Agile Processes

- Work with cross-functional teams in Agile/Scrum environment.

- Participate in sprint planning, stand-ups, retrospectives, and technical discussions.

- Collaborate with backend, DevOps, QA, and product teams for seamless releases.

Required Skills

- Strong expertise in Next.js, ReactJS, JavaScript (ES6+), and TypeScript.

- Deep understanding of SSR, SSG, ISR, and client-side rendering.

- Experience with state management: Redux, React Query, SWR, Context API, or Zustand.

- Strong CSS skills: Tailwind CSS, Styled Components, SCSS, or Material UI.

- Experience with REST APIs and/or GraphQL.

- Familiarity with Webpack/Babel/Vite build pipelines.

- Proficient in Git, code reviews, and branching strategies.

- Strong debugging skills using browser DevTools and performance tools.

Good to Have

- Experience with Node.js and building backend APIs.

- Familiarity with micro-frontend architecture.

- Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins).

- Experience with hosting platforms like Vercel, AWS, Netlify, or GCP.

- Understanding of SEO strategies and Core Web Vitals.

- Knowledge of content systems (Headless CMS, Strapi, Sanity, Contentful).
