About the Role:

Newton School of Technology is looking for a strong Software Engineer with deep expertise in Data Structures & Algorithms to join our Computer Science team.

The ideal candidate will have strong problem-solving skills, experience with Competitive Programming, and a solid understanding of core Computer Science fundamentals. We are particularly interested in engineers who have participated in ICPC, CodeChef, Codeforces, AtCoder, or other competitive programming platforms and enjoy solving challenging algorithmic problems.

What You'll Do:

- Work deeply on Data Structures & Algorithms, from fundamental concepts to advanced problem-solving.

- Develop and review challenging algorithmic problems, coding exercises, contests, and assessments.

- Help students develop strong algorithmic thinking and an ability to approach complex problems systematically.

- Work with the academic and engineering teams to design practical, industry-relevant learning experiences.

- Conduct technical sessions, workshops, coding contests, and problem-solving discussions.

- Contribute to building a strong Competitive Programming and DSA culture within the institution.

- Stay updated with advanced algorithms, competitive programming trends, and industry expectations.

What We're Looking For:

- Strong expertise in Data Structures & Algorithms.

- Strong programming skills in C++ / Java / Python.

- Experience in Competitive Programming is highly preferred.

- ICPC participation / World Finals / Regional participation will be a strong advantage.

- Strong profiles from platforms such as Codeforces, CodeChef, AtCoder, LeetCode, etc. are preferred.

- Strong understanding of algorithms, complexity analysis, problem-solving paradigms, and core Computer Science.

- 6+ years of experience in software engineering, competitive programming, or a closely related technical role.

- Strong communication and passion for solving difficult problems and helping others become better problem solvers.

Good to Have:

- ICPC Regional / World Finals participation.

- Strong Codeforces / CodeChef / AtCoder rating.

- Experience as a competitive programmer or conducting coding contests.

- Experience working with engineering teams at product companies or high-growth technology companies.

- Experience in developing DSA courses, coding assessments, or technical interview preparation content.
