Job Title : Product Owner Loan Management System (LMS)

Role Overview :
We are looking for a Product Owner LMS with strong expertise in loan servicing systems, capable of owning the functional roadmap, backlog, and delivery alignment for a Loan Management System. The role requires a blend of banking domain depth, product thinking, and agile execution, working closely with engineering, architecture, QA, and business stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities :
- Own the end-to-end product backlog for LMS modules covering :
a. Loan lifecycle management
b. Repayments, schedules, accruals, prepayments, restructuring
c. Charges, fees, penalties and GL mappings
d. Loan events and servicing rules
- Support Integration requirements with Core Banking / Accounting Systems
- Act as the single point of accountability for LMS functional scope and priorities.
- Translate business and regulatory requirements into :
a. User stories
b. Functional specifications
c. Acceptance criteria
- Prioritize backlog items based on business value, risk, dependencies, and delivery timelines.
- Ensure stories are clear, testable, and implementation-ready for development teams.
- Continuously groom and refine the backlog with stakeholders
- Act as a bridge between business and technology, ensuring functional intent is correctly implemented.
- Ensure adherence to SDLC and governance processes
Skills & Competencies :
- 10 plus years of experience in banking / financial services with strong exposure to Loan Management Systems.
- Hands-on experience as a Product Owner / Business Analyst / Functional Lead for LMS or loan servicing platforms.
- Strong understanding of :
a. Loan lifecycle and servicing processes
b. Banking products and operations
c. Accounting and financial flows in lending
- Exposure to multiple loan products (Retail, Corporate, MSME, Islamic lending, etc.).
- Ability to write clear user stories, acceptance criteria, and functional documents.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Ability to create and review :
a. Functional Requirement Documents (FRD)
b. User Stories and Acceptance Criteria
c. Process flows and business rules
Educational Qualification :
- Bachelors degree in Engineering, Technology, Finance, or related discipline (B.E. / B.Tech / B.Com / BBA / equivalent)
- MBA / PGDM (Finance / Operations / Systems) is a plus, but not mandatory.
- Strong grounding in banking, finance, and business processes.
