Network Security Engineer - Zscaler

Experience : 37 years.

Shift Timing : 5:00 PM to 2:00 AM IST.

Location : Bangalore / Remote.

Responsibilities :

- Design, configure, and manage Zscaler ZIA, ZPA, and ZCC solutions based on business requirements.

- Define and implement global standards, policies, and procedures related to Zscaler deployments.

- Provide support for L2/L3 incidents and service requests, ensuring timely resolution within defined SLAs.

- Act as an escalation point for complex Zscaler-related issues and participate in on-call rotations.

- Develop and maintain architectural design documentation, configuration records, and SOPs.

- Lead Proof of Concept (POC) efforts for Zscaler features and recommend adoption strategies.

- Monitor the health and performance of Zscaler environments, ensuring service continuity and policy compliance.

- Collaborate with IT Security, Infrastructure, and Application teams to align deployments with organizational goals.

- Automate provisioning, configuration, and policy enforcement using tools such as Terraform (where applicable).

- Support audits and compliance checks related to Zscaler access and policy configurations.

- Stay updated with the latest Zscaler features, security trends, and best practices.

- Assist in training and documentation efforts for support teams and stakeholders.

Skills required :

- 3+ years of hands-on experience working with Zscaler technologies (ZIA, ZPA, ZCC).

- Experience in deploying and managing Zscaler environments in enterprise setups.

- Strong understanding of Zscaler policy creation, SSL inspection, web filtering, and authentication integration.

- Familiarity with ITIL processes Incident, Problem, and Change Management.

- Experience working in support environments, including handling tickets and escalations.

- Ability to collaborate across cross-functional teams and communicate technical concepts clearly.

- Exposure to integrations with tools like Azure AD, Okta, and endpoint management/EDR platforms.

- Experience using Terraform or CI/CD pipelines for Zscaler configuration management and automation.

- Familiarity with SD-WAN, firewall, or cloud security tools in a hybrid network environment.
