Network Security Engineer - Palo Alto Firewall

Key Responsibilities :

- Manage and maintain enterprise-level network firewalls ensuring secure and optimized performance

- Monitor network activity using Splunk and other tools to identify anomalies and respond to incidents

- Implement, configure, and troubleshoot network security protocols and firewall rules

- Support cloud-based infrastructure across AWS or Azure, ensuring seamless integration with on-prem networks

- Collaborate with infrastructure, cloud, and security teams to design and implement network solutions

- Perform regular audits, risk assessments, and patching to maintain network security compliance

- Document network configurations, standard operating procedures, and incident reports

- Proactively monitor performance, resolve issues, and ensure high availability of network services

Mandatory Skills & Qualifications :

- Strong experience in cloud platforms: AWS or Microsoft Azure

- Experience working with Splunk for log analysis, monitoring, and alerting

- In-depth knowledge of networking concepts including TCP/IP, DNS, VPN, routing, and switching

- Proficiency in configuring and troubleshooting firewall rules, NAT, ACLs, and security zones

- Strong understanding of network security best practices and compliance standards

- Excellent communication and troubleshooting skills

Preferred Skills :

- Experience with SIEM tools, IDS/IPS systems, and cloud-native security tools

- Familiarity with infrastructure as code (IaC) for networking in cloud environments
