Role Overview :

As a Network Security TAC Engineer, you will provide advanced technical support and troubleshooting for network security solutions across client environments. You will act as a critical escalation point for diagnosing and resolving complex security incidents, ensuring high availability, performance, and protection of customer networks. The role demands strong analytical skills, hands-on expertise with multi-vendor firewalls, and the ability to deliver timely resolutions while maintaining customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities :

- Provide L2/L3 TAC support for network security technologies, including firewalls, IDS/IPS, and VPN solutions.

- Troubleshoot and resolve complex network security issues, including connectivity problems, policy misconfigurations, performance degradation, and security incidents.

- Analyze traffic logs, packet captures, and system alerts to identify root causes and implement corrective actions.

- Support and maintain firewall platforms such as Checkpoint, Palo Alto, Fortigate, SonicWALL, and Cisco, including configuration review and issue remediation.

- Handle incident management and escalation, ensuring adherence to SLAs and timely communication with stakeholders.

- Assist in security incident response, including containment, mitigation, and post-incident analysis.

- Collaborate with engineering, operations, and vendor support teams to resolve critical and recurring issues.

- Perform health checks, audits, and proactive monitoring to prevent potential outages or vulnerabilities.

- Document troubleshooting steps, known issues, and resolutions in knowledge bases and technical reports.

- Provide guidance and best practices to customers for optimizing their network security posture.

Required Skillset :


- Strong 3+ years of hands-on experience in troubleshooting network security solutions (firewalls, VPNs, IDS/IPS).

- Proven expertise in multi-vendor firewall support : Checkpoint, Palo Alto, Fortigate, SonicWALL, Cisco.

- Solid understanding of networking fundamentals : TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, VLANs, NAT, routing, and switching.

- Experience with log analysis tools, packet capture (Wireshark/tcpdump), and debugging techniques.

- Familiarity with Linux systems and CLI-based troubleshooting.

- Strong problem-solving skills with a customer-focused and SLA-driven approach.

- Effective communication skills for handling customer interactions and technical escalations.

- Relevant certifications such as CCNA/CCNP (preferred).

- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field.
