Job Designation : Network Manager - IT Engineering

Roles and Responsibilities

Role Overview & Responsibilities:

- Partner with Development, Database, Security, and DevOps team members in the architecture, implementation, and run time operations of server, platform, network, storage systems, load balancers, and other infrastructure components.

- Planning, Designing, implementing and managing the network infrastructure, including components such as firewalls, switches, WLAN, etc.

- Will communicate with a wide variety of audiences (business, technical, and all levels of management)

- Stay on the cutting edge of new tech and do knowledge transfers within the team to make sure everyone is in sync with the knowledge to run and maintain infrastructure.

- Develop processes for improving operational efficiencies, as well as identifying/implementing automation tools for existing manual processes.

- Build and manage a library of Engineering documentation, ensuring the promulgation of the Network design patterns, their integration into applications, and all Network infrastructure standards to all Fareportal Engineering teams.

- Prepare technical reports, and instructional manuals as documentation of network design and operational requirements.

- IT Security/Audits, KPIs and SLAs

- Coordinate with information security governance team to align IT infrastructure with established standards.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

- Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Network Manager/Architect.

- Experience defining business requirements, translating them into technical tasks, and producing detailed network and functional designs.

- Deep knowledge of modern networking technologies and software defined networking concepts in both data center and distributed office environments.

- Expert level experience defining the network architecture landscape, identifying gaps between current and desired end-states, and delivering a comprehensive solution that will enable achievement of the desired business outcomes.

- Hands on experience building out and managing data centers, including rack layouts, managing power within specifications, and proper cable management.

- Experience in Network designing and architecting new network technologies.

- Experience in Layer 2 and Layer 3 Protocols, VPN i.e. BGP, OSPF, STP/RSTP/MSTP, IPSec, SSL, Routing, SDWAN, DNS, etc.

- Experience building MPLS, AWS direct connect, Azure Express route, automation and scripting in cloud and on-premises.

- Troubleshooting and Configuration from scratch is a must (Fortinet, Juniper, Cisco)

- Have experience working in Hyper-V, Bare Metal, AWS, Azure, CISCO, Juniper environments.
